Abstract:
Perspectives of direct laser cooling of the LiRb molecule have been revisited by means of twofold deperturbation treatment of its $A^{1}\Sigma^{+}$--$b^{3}\Pi$ complex and accompanying relativistic structure calculations. The work pursued the achievement of two main goals. Firstly, to provide a semi-empirical deperturbation model for describing the energetic and radiative properties in the A-b complex of LiRb within experimental uncertainties, using alternative procedures for solving the inverse spectroscopic problem. Secondly, to investigate the sensitivity of \textit{ab initio} radiative probabilities predicted for spin-forbidden $b^3\Pi\to X^1\Sigma^+$ rovibronic transitions to the particular deperturbation model accounting for regular spin-orbit interactions in the framework of "\textbf{a}" or "\textbf{c}" Hund's case coupling.
